Lets go back a few years, 6 to be specific, to 2013 when I first came across the author Margaret Atwood. Having just eagerly devoured Daphne du Maurier’s ‘Rebecca’ for my Advanced Higher English class, I’d been tasked with the rather difficult mission of finding the perfect accompanying novel (that likewise contained strong female characters) in order to write my dissertation.
